Project Scope

Provided all engineering for a system that met the required evaporation and concentration. Provided all equipment required for a functional system. This included evaporators, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps, valves, instrumentation, PLC control system and piping to achieve the required result.

Results

The project was fast track and required engineering and equipment supply in 7 months. To assist in expediting the installation, partial shipments were made. After a 3 month installation period, the equipment was commissioned fully tested in 6 weeks. The system exceeded the design economy and was immediately accepted and placed in full production.

Process Flow

Feed liquor is fed to Effect #4 and flows from effect to effect where it is concentrated more in each effect until it is discharged from the 1st Effect at the required concentration. One extra body and associated piping and valves are provided to allow each body to be isolated and washed one at a time while maintaining the required production rate with the other 4 bodies and incurring no downtime during the changeover.
